Alpha is not just another course but is a life changing experience. If you feel you are ready for a change in your life and you want to discover the real meaning of life then the Alpha course is for you.

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It’s relaxed, non-threatening, low-key, fun and friendly. The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks on video led by Nicky Gumbel. He covers topics such as “Who is Jesus”, How can I be sure of my faith, and How do I resist evil?”

The Alpha Course is run every Monday night for ten weeks starting at 6.00pm. We share a meal together, watch the video and then break into small groups for discussion. This is the opportunity to talk about anything you want and to ask all the questions you may have wanted to ask but have never had the opportunity.

2.We meet at Star Of The Sea Church hall every Monday evening at 6.00pm for 6.15pm for 10 weeks.
3.We enjoy a meal of pasta, salad, pudding and fellowship.
4.We watch Nicky Gumbel on video.
5.Then after tea or coffee we break into groups and talk about the video and questions that bother us.
This will begins on a Friday evening and ends after lunch on the Sunday. The venue is Red Acres Retreat Centre, Cedara, just outside Pietermaritzburg. This weekend away forms an integral part of the Alpha course and is not to be missed.

Total cost of the weekend away is approximately. R300 per person, which includes all meals.
